“The first encounter I had with St Andrews and The Old Course was with my father Wallace at a Wednesday Practice Day at the Open, when I was a gawky, acne-ridden fifteen-year-old.”

Excerpt from The Magic In St Andrews

“Captained still by Willie, they beat two of the greatest European names in quick succession. First Bayern Munich were seen off 3-2 in the quarter final at a packed Pittodrie Stadium.”

Author

Kevin at Carnoustie

A lawyer by profession, Kevin moved to the St Andrews area in July 2020, just after Covid restrictions were lifted. It changed his golf and his life, and rather than sitting idle between jobs, he decided to write about his heartfelt and inspiring experiences which have revolved around the magical town and ‘The Magic in St Andrews By The Positive Golfer’ was born.

People have asked Kevin “How come these things keep happening to you?”

Kevin’s reply and story is one of making and grabbing your own positive opportunities in life with his mantra being ‘I’m glad I did, rather than wish I had’

Kevin loves playing different golf courses and regularly plays over thirty different courses a year, with many in different countries.

You can share some of the moments referred to in ‘The Magic in St Andrews By The Positive Golfer’ on his YouTube channel (The Positive Golfer), and on his Instagram, Facebook, TikTok or Twitter accounts.

As well as still practising law, Kevin runs ‘The House of Golf’ a four bedroom short stay property located a five minute drive from the first tee of the Old Course and bookings for it can be made at www.thehouseofgolf.co.uk

Kevin looks forward to seeing you in St Andrews soon.
